Breakfast and departure for Sasso Marconi, the gateway to the Bolognese Apenines. This town takes its name from its most famous citizen, Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of the radio.
Here you can also visit Villa Griffone, where Marconi spent his youth. He transmitted the first radio signal in history from the windows of the villa; today the rests of the great scientist are in the Mausoleum dedicated to him.
Then, we will see the other attractions: the “Rupe”, Palazzo de’ Rossi and Colle Ameno.

Afterwards, leaving to the historic town centre of Monteveglio, fortified small village perched on a mountainous spur. The S. Maria Assunta Abbey is of great interest as its origin are remote and it has a Romanesque-like structure.
In 1986 the Parco Storico dell’Abbazia was set up to promote the beautiful natural, agricultural and human environment.
Lunch in a characteristic restaurant associated with the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori.

In the afternoon, on Bologna’s hills wine tasting in a wine grower and producer associated with the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori.
