In the 7th International Shoulder Group meeting we would like to stress the key-role of biomechanics (muscle-skeletal modelling, motion analysis, motor-control modelling,…) answer open problems concerning the shoulder and the upper-limb, in medicine, ergonomics, and sport.

A selection of the abstracts, expanded to full papers, will be published in Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing (MBEC - http://mbec.edmgr.com). The terms of partecipation are available here.
In addition, among the papers, two young investigator awards will be assigned, sponsored by the University of Bologna & Springer Verlag.
Young investigator awards
Among the full papers selected for publication in MBEC, two young investigator awards will be assigned.
The papers of the two winners will bring the statement “ISG-MBEC Best fundamental research paper” and “ISG-MBEC Best applied research paper”. Each winner will receive a cheque of 500€ and his/her paper will be “Open Access”, that is, it will be freely downloadable for everyone from the MBEC website.
