History |
The Laboratory started its activity in 1989 with one of the first BTS stereophotogrammetric systems and two Kistler Force plates, under the technical supervision of Angelo Gianninoni (CPO).
Since then the laboratory is active in the clinical gait analysis of lower limb amputees.
The Laboratory was completely renewed in 2002 with a new Vicon 460 (Oxford Metrics, UK), a gas analyzer (Cosmed K4b2, IT), insoles for foot pressure distribution (Pedar X, Novel, D) and an activity monitor (Vitaport). Since that date the laboratory is active in the field of upper-extremity motion analysis, through the active collaboration with the DEIS – University of Bologna.
The laboratory instrumentation has been recently enriched by a MT9B inertial system (Xsens Technologies, NL). In 2005 the Laboratory became part of the INAIL-StartER Laboratory. At the beginning of 2007 the laboratory moved to its current location, in a separate building within the INAIL Prosthesis Center, where it will stay until the renewal of the historic part of the Center (expected date 2009).
